A Few More Steps

Unknown 0
You guys are the best!

Thanks so much for all the great feedback on my
painted stairs project.
Right now, it seems that painting numbers is a "yes",
(but in black, not white).
With a painted runner underneath to add some color.
I also love the rope banister in yesterday's first image.
I am going to try to incorporate that as well.

I thought I would share some of the more "over the top"
steps that I have found.
These are all so imaginative and fun.

These last two images are from my friend,
Hannelore's house.
She had her children help with this
when they were quite young,
and now they are in High School and Middle School.
{which only seems to make it more special}
I love it when people let their personalities and
creativity shine in their homes.

Please Help With The Next Step

This is our back staircase.

These steps lead only to our home gym over the garage.
I want to do some thing really fun with them.
Last summer, I almost had my painter
stencil roman numerals on each step.
We couldn't find any nice looking templates.
 I decided to hold off.

I am so glad we waited.

For many months now,
I have been collecting images of beautiful painted stairs.

Only now I can't make up my mind...
which one should we use?

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

6.

Help!

I have narrowed it down to these six images.

Which one is your favorite?

Stella did it again! Her second collection for Gap Kids
debuts in Gap stores in New York City and online
at www.gap.com on March 30th...tomorrow!
I'm going to try to scoop some pieces for my girls,
and, seriously contemplating trying to squeeze myself
into an child's extra large.

Oh celluloid heroes never feel any pain
Oh celluloid heroes never really die.
I wish my life was a non-stop Hollywood movie show,
A fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroes.
Because celluloid heroes never feel any pain
And celluloid heroes never really die.

So inspired by the Ralph Lauren
wallpaper in this last image,
{for my son's ski house bedroom}
I found myself on my own personal
mapquest.

I have an existential map;
it has "you are here" written all over it.
